CleanCoastCollectives

Save beach, save our environment, save ourselves — it’s all connected.”

About Us

Hi! We’re CleanCoast Collectives, a group of four teens from Tangerang, Indonesia. We love the beach, but we noticed it was getting really dirty — so we decided to do something about it! Every week, we go out and clean up trash from the beaches to help keep the ocean and sea animals safe.

We believe that even though we’re just kids, we can still make a big difference for our planet. Let’s keep our coasts clean together!

“Our Mission & Story”

CleanCoastCollective is a community of beach lovers and volunteers united to protect and restore our coastlines.
We believe that every small action, from picking up a piece of trash to inspiring awareness, can create lasting change.
Our mission is to clean, educate, and empower communities to care for the beaches that sustain life and beauty.
Together, we’re turning waves of waste into waves of hope for a cleaner, brighter future.

How It Started

We are a group of 4 pre-teens who got a group project, and we didn’t know what we wanted to do so we did a voting and the majority of our group voted on cleaning the beach, So we could think about what we should do, and we were looking around, and we saw a lot of trash around us, and we didn’t feel comfortable being there, so we decided that we wanted to help clean the beaches near us, and that is the story of how we got the

What Did We Do?

So far, we’ve collected bags of trash and saved countless marine creatures from harm. We share information at schools and online about why it’s important to protect marine life and reduce plastic use. But even though we collected bags of trash, we still need all your help. 1 more person means 1 more pair of hands helping us!

Why We Do It

We want people to have a better experience at the beach, and we want people to feel comfortable staying at the beach so they can relax and have a great time at the beach with their loved ones.

How we do it

We plan beach cleanups around Tangerang and bring bags, gloves, and other tools to collect trash. We sort the waste into recyclables and non-recyclables to make sure as much as possible can be reused. After each cleanup, we share what we did online to inspire more people to keep our beaches and oceans clean
